Resolution 84:03: Critical Race Theory

Whereas, Critical Race Theory is based on presuppositions apart from and opposed to Scripture; and

Whereas, Critical Race Theory attempts to sow division between peoples; and

Whereas, Critical Race Theory is rooted in the godless ideology of Marxism; and

Whereas, Critical Race Theory advocates violence; and

Whereas, Critical Race Theory proposes perpetual penance without grace or forgiveness; and

Whereas, Critical Race Theory deceitfully and deceptively changes the definitions of terms; and, 

Whereas, all humans are of one race descending from Adam thus making racism a sin, (Acts 

17:26); and

Whereas, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (Ecclesiastes 7:20, Romans 3:23); and

Whereas, there is forgiveness of sin in Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone, (Matthew 6:14-15, Luke 24:46-47, John 14:6, Ephesians 1:7-8, 1 John 1:9); now, therefore, be it

Resolved that the 84th General Synod of the Bible Presbyterian Church, meeting at Cape Canaveral, Florida, August 5-9, 2021, calls on Christians to reject the empty deceit of Critical Race Theory and to not be carried away by this wind of doctrine, but to promote the Biblical view of mankind and of forgiveness in Christ as expressed in the Holy Scriptures.
