RESOLUTION 77:07 The 80th Anniversary of The Independent Board for Presbyterian Foreign Missions

The 77th General Synod of the Bible Presbyterian Church, meeting at the Bible Presbyterian Church, Grand Island, NY, August 1-6, 2013, does acknowledge the providence of God in the founding of The Independent Board for Presbyterian Foreign Missions, and does recognize its 80th Anniversary, rejoicing in the service of its missionaries in the furtherance of the Gospel. We also recognize the central role The Independent Board had in the founding of the Bible Presbyterian General Synod in 1938.

We furthermore acknowledge the contributions of The Independent Board and Presbyterian Missionary Union, as agencies where Bible Presbyterian men and women have in the past and continue to serve the Lord around the world, supported by this denomination.

Be it resolved that we the members of this Synod do encourage God’s people to earnestly pray that The Lord of the harvest will send more laborers into His harvest field, because the harvest is truly great but the laborers are few.
