What do we pray for in the fourth petition?

In the fourth petition (which is, Give us this day our daily bread) we pray, That of God's free gift we may receive a competent portion of the good things of this life,1 and enjoy his blessing with them.2

Proverbs 30:8. Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me.
1 Timothy 4:4-5. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
Proverbs 10:22. The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
