On the Occasion of the 89th General Synod of the Bible Presbyterian Church
WHEREAS, the Lord Jesus Christ, the King and Head of the Church, has gathered the ministers, ruling elders, and friends of the Bible Presbyterian Church for the meeting of the 89th General Synod; and
WHEREAS, the officers, volunteers, and congregation of Esperança Bible Presbyterian Church have opened their hearts and facilities with extraordinary Christian warmth, diligence, and sacrifice to accommodate the delegates and officers of the Synod; and
WHEREAS, Holy Scripture reminds us, "Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace" (1 Peter 4:9–10); and
WHEREAS, the local church leadership and congregation provided generous hospitality, provisions, technical support, and a prayerful environment that enabled the smooth and orderly conduct of the business of Christ's church; and
WHEREAS, the spirit of Christian fellowship and love demonstrated throughout the assembly truly reflected the truth of God’s Word: "Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!" (Psalm 133:1);
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the 89th General Synod of the Bible Presbyterian Church, meeting August 5th-7th, expresses its deepest gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to the Pastor, Session, Diaconate, kitchen and logistical volunteers, and the entire congregation of Esperança Bible Presbyterian Church for their labors of love on behalf of the Synod.
